How it gets made

Everything in the case was made in this building, in batches small enough to run out.

Two different things

Italian ice is water, fruit and sugar. Gelato is milk, churned slower and colder than ice cream so it comes out dense instead of airy. They sit side by side in the same case and they are not the same dessert.

Small batches, on purpose

We make what we think will sell in a few days. That is why a flavor you had last month may not be there today, and why the board changes.

The fruit decides

Blood orange shows up when blood oranges are good. Apple pie comes around when the weather turns. We do not force a flavor into a month that does not want it.

Mix them

A gelati is one scoop of each in the same cup, and it is the thing to order if you cannot choose. Nobody at the counter will mind.

The doors open at eight, and the freezer is not the reason

There is a full coffee bar at the front of the shop, which is why we are open before most of the Square. Espresso, drip and milk drinks, and pastries that come in fresh from a baker nearby.

If you want the whole shop in one order, get an affogato: a scoop of gelato with a shot poured over it at the counter.

Coffee list and prices: TBC with the shop.

A vending tricycle with a cold box on the front, parked on a cobbled street

We will bring the tricycle

The trike is a gelato cart on three wheels, and it goes where the party is: graduations, birthdays, weddings, office lunches and school events around Liberty and Clay County.

  • You pick the flavors ahead of time
  • One of us serves, so the line moves
  • Indoors or out, no power needed
  • Head count, service window and pricing: TBC
